Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive Director of Information Technology to oversee and execute comprehensive IT strategies across a network of luxury properties, including multiple primary residences and additional estates located throughout the United States. This role demands exceptional technical proficiency, discretion, and adaptability, with a strong emphasis on personalized service and hands-on support.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • IT Infrastructure Management
    • Design, implement, and manage customized IT solutions tailored to the needs of a high-profile household across multiple locations.
    • Administer and support smart home systems such as LutronSavant, and Crestron to ensure seamless home automation, lighting, and climate control functionality.
    • Oversee and maintain complex networking and AV systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Device and System Oversight
    • Administer Apple Business ManagerJamf, and Microsoft Admin/Entra for secure provisioning and oversight of company-owned devices.
    • Provide end-to-end technical support to family members and staff, covering all devices, applications, and services.
  • Security and Surveillance
    • Manage advanced security systems including Rhombus camerasAvigilonOpenpathVerkada, and Cisco Meraki for comprehensive surveillance and remote access control.
  • On-Site Support and Travel
    • Travel regularly to properties to conduct hands-on troubleshooting, AV maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades.
    • Ensure rapid response and on-site presence as needed for critical tech issues.
  • Project Coordination and Contractor Liaison
    • Collaborate with architects, builders, and contractors during property renovations to align technology infrastructure with structural and electrical plans.
    • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate project timelines to ensure minimal disruption and timely delivery.
  • Training and Documentation
    • Develop easy-to-understand guides and tutorials for end users of varying technical proficiency.
    • Provide ongoing training and support to ensure confident, efficient use of technology throughout the household and staff.

 

TOP KEYS FOR CLIENT:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT leadership, preferably in private households or hospitality environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Expertise with Apple, Microsoft, and enterprise mobile device management platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, smart home integration, and AV system maintenance.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-property tech ecosystems.
  • Discretion, reliability, and the ability to operate in high-trust, confidential environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage recruiting strategy and processes, which includes sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and hiring
