What we’re looking for in a workplace operations manager
Workplace operations manager key responsibilities
Workplace operations leadership
- Own and lead day-to-day workplace operations, ensuring the office runs efficiently, safely, and at the highest professional standard
- Build, refine, and scale operational systems and processes as the team grows from startup to scale
- Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for vendors, facilities management, and building coordination
- Partner closely with the Head of Operations on the ongoing office buildout, designer engagement, and 3rd floor expansion
- Manage office supplies, equipment, catering accounts, and operational budgets with accountability and foresight
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements that keep operations smooth and ahead of the team’s evolving needs
Events and hospitality
- Plan, own, and execute internal company events end-to-end, including team lunches, offsites, milestone celebrations, all-hands, and more
- Greet and host visitors, candidates, and clients with warmth and an elevated sense of hospitality befitting a unicorn
- Own catering coordination via Forkable and maintain strategic relationships with external vendors and partners
- Set the standard for how the company shows up to guests, clients, and the broader world
Executive and team support
- Support the executive team with scheduling, correspondence, and ad-hoc administrative needs as a trusted operational partner
- Handle all sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
- Maintain and champion a culture of organization, professionalism, and warmth across the entire office environment
- Serve as a senior operational voice in cross-functional planning, contributing judgment and experience to how the team scales
