We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Hospitality Assistant to support a Tech Founder/CEO in Bel Air. The successful candidate should be a travel guru, hustler, event director, and have an ability to wear many hats according to the needs of the Founder/CEO.
Candidates should possess a proven track record of providing a high touch, white glove support. Candidates should also be highly professional, polished, and committed to their role, with a strong work ethic and an instinctively proactive approach. The role requires a high level of focus and concentration to be applied in order to ensure accuracy and attention to detail. The Hospitality Assistant must be able to work in a fast, efficient, and organized manner to cope with multiple tasks and often competing demands. In addition to day-to-day business support, the role requires significant personal support for the CEO and partner. This is a truly exciting opportunity for someone looking to be challenged in a friendly, but fast-paced environment, and is willing to commit to working flexibly outside of core business hours as required.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Serving, bartending, greeting guests for dinner parties and events (front of house presence), table setting, etc.
- Arranging florals + tablescapes (seasonal, holidays, events)
- Packing principals for travel
- Managing principal’s toiletry inventory
- Managing principal’s attire – suiting, alterations, inventory, shoe shining, shopping
- Managing principal’s prescriptions
- Managing personal gifting (not very often)
- Pet related errands (grooming, vet appointments, inventory of food/accessories)
- Misc. errands (pick ups, drop offs, returns, mail related)
- Ad-hoc projects
A successful candidate will exhibit all of the following:
- 2+ years of work experience in hospitality or service industry
- Proactive approach to work, with strong use of initiative and common sense
- Highly discreet, with a strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
- Positive work ethic with a no-fuss, can-do approach to ensure work gets done quickly and efficiently
- Ability to remain calm and measured at all times, especially when under pressure and working to tight deadlines
- Friendly but professional approach, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Polished and confident communicator, both written and oral
- Excellent organization, time-management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at the same time
- Flexible and accommodating approach to the job; willing to respond to mobile phone and email requests out of office hours as required
- Strong IT skills – in particular, proficiency in Google Suite
