We have partnered with an Executive seeking a highly experienced House Manager who will oversee their Los Angeles estate. The successful candidate will have previous management experience with high-end residences and staff. This individual will have 360° oversight for the overall care and maintenance of the property, development of household systems, procedures and protocols, developing and managing staff, ensuring a consistent service level, and managing capital projects and household budgets.  This individual will also work closely with external partners involving corporate support functions, architects, designers, security, contractors, AV/IT integrators and numerous other service vendors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will oversee all daily operations at the primary residence. When residents are home, the House Manager will be on call 24/7. They are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and poised. You will need to be comfortable with getting your hands dirty behind the scenes when dealing with issues of house maintenance, but you must also present in a professional and eloquent manner when interacting with house guests. A can-do attitude is a must!

  • Hiring, training, and ongoing management of staff (nannies, chefs and housekeepers) required to meet the service standard
  • Vet payroll and expenses relating to the house
  • Greet and host all house guests for principal during meetings at the house
  • Maintain house inventory (e.g. cleaning supplies, electronics, office supplies, toiletries, business cards, books, linens)
  • House maintenance and scheduling monthly/quarterly/annual maintenance appointments
  • Screen and oversee outside vendors, contractors, construction projects
  • Coordinate guest overnight visits (set up guest rooms, verify snack requests, laundry, etc.)
  • Inform/communicate with Event Planner for large-scale events at the house
  • Actively check principal’s calendar/schedule and share time-sensitive information with principal’s team
  • Liaise with nannies, chefs, and housekeepers, managing and coordinating schedules and acting as main point of contact.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing high net worth residences
  • Demonstrate composure, tact, and flexibility, regardless of competing priorities
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to anticipate needs and propose/execute solutions
  • Comfortable and experienced in managing multiple tasks and projects independently with minimal supervision
  • A strong work ethic: “No task is too big or small”
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in both Google Platform and Microsoft Office Suite: proficiency with Crestron
  • Ability to travel with team
